Getting started
I just upgraded — how do I use it?
Your upgrade is live right away. Go to aiWriter.ai and make sure you're signed in (top-right corner, using the same Google account you paid with). On any writing page — Story, Poem, or Lyrics — you'll see two buttons just above the prompt box: Skilled Writer (v1) and Deep Writer (v2). Click Deep Writer v2 to use the advanced model your plan unlocks, type what you'd like written, and generate. Then copy the result into your own document. aiWriter writes for you on the site — it isn't a plugin inside Word or Google Docs. If your new limits don't appear yet, refresh the page once.
Skilled Writer v1 vs Deep Writer v2 — which should I use?
Skilled Writer v1 is our fast, free, unlimited model — great for everyday writing and quick iteration. Deep Writer v2 is our premium model: richer prose, more distinctive character voices, fewer clichés. Free signed-in users get 10 Deep Writer v2 generations a month to taste the difference; Plus gets 5,000/month and Gold 10,000/month. Skilled Writer v1 stays unlimited on every plan, so you always have a fast fallback.
Do I need an account?
No — you can start generating immediately with no sign-up. Signing in with Google is free and saves your stories and characters across devices, and unlocks 10 Deep Writer v2 generations a month.
How do I get better results?
Be specific in your prompt — characters, setting, conflict, and mood all help. Instead of "write a story about love," try "two elderly neighbors who never spoke discover they lost their spouses on the same day." Experiment with the writing profile (Essay, Balanced, Fiction), and don't hesitate to regenerate — each run is unique.

What's included in Free, Plus, and Gold?
Free — unlimited Skilled Writer v1, 10 Deep Writer v2 generations a month, no daily cap. Plus ($8.49/mo) — 5,000 Deep Writer v2 generations a month, no pace limit, saved Characters, Generation History, and Continue Writing. How do I upgrade?
Open the pricing page, pick Plus or Gold, and check out. Your new limits are active immediately — just refresh if you don't see them.
Can I cancel anytime — and keep my free account?
Yes. Go to your Account page and click Manage Subscription, which opens the secure billing portal where you can cancel in a click. You'll keep your paid features through the billing period you've already paid for, then your account automatically returns to the Free plan. You don't lose your account or your saved work.
How do I update my payment method?
Same place — Account → Manage Subscription → update your card in the billing portal.
What's your refund policy?
Subscriptions are billed in advance and are generally non-refundable. That said, if you were charged in error or something genuinely went wrong, reply to any of our emails or use Contact us — we'll always try to make it right.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your Account page and click "Delete my account" at the bottom. This cancels any active subscription and permanently removes your account and associated data. This can't be undone.
Limits & usage
How long can my prompt be?
Prompts can be up to 5,000 characters on Free and 50,000 characters on Plus and Gold. Each generation produces up to roughly 3,500 words; Plus and Gold can use Continue Writing to extend a piece as far as you like, with each continuation picking up where the last left off.
Is there a daily limit on the free plan?
There's no daily cap. Free use is paced at 5 generations per minute and 30 per hour to keep things smooth for everyone. Skilled Writer v1 is unlimited; Deep Writer v2 is 10 generations a month on Free. Paid plans remove the pace limit.
How many Deep Writer v2 generations do I get, and when do they reset?
Free: 10/month. Plus: 5,000/month. Gold: 10,000/month. The counter resets on the 1st of each calendar month. You can see how many you have left on your Account page and in the model selector above the prompt box.
Troubleshooting
I got a "Connection failed" or error message — what happened?
That's almost always a temporary hiccup on our end, not a problem with your account or your remaining generations. Wait a moment and try again. If it keeps happening, let us know and we'll jump on it — we also monitor for this automatically.
My upgrade isn't showing up
Make sure you're signed in with the same Google account you paid with, then refresh the page once — your plan is read fresh on every load, so a refresh almost always does it. Still stuck? Contact us and we'll sort it out.
I hit a limit I didn't expect
On Free, generations are paced (5/minute, 30/hour) and Deep Writer v2 is capped at 10/month — switch to Skilled Writer v1, which is unlimited, or upgrade to remove the pace limit. Prompt too long? Free prompts are capped at 5,000 characters (50,000 on paid plans).
I can't sign in
aiWriter uses Google sign-in. Try again in a normal (non-incognito) window with third-party cookies allowed, and make sure you're choosing the right Google account. If it still won't work, reach out.
Is the service down?
Check our live status page for current uptime and response times. If everything looks green but you're still having trouble, it's likely account-specific — contact us.
